Singapore: Week 1

We actually do not have a lot of pictures to show for our first week in Singapore. With me (Josh) feeling a little sick I didn't get out to take pictures as much as I would have liked.

We arrived last week with all our luggage and were met that day with what has been typical Singapore weather everyday: hot, humid, and rainy.
We don't think there has been a day so far it has not rained, though sometimes they have been very small rains :-)

We have really enjoyed the very different plants and flowers here.

Here is a view from walking down the street near where we are staying.
(All the streets do not look like this though. Not too far from us is a massive street with more shopping than anyone could ever want.)

One of the things that has been really fun is that we are very near the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which we can walk into for free at any time.

This is one of the several ponds at the Gardens.

I have been having a fun time taking a lot of pictures of bug and flowers that are very different than Colorado. Stay tuned for many of these pictures in the weeks ahead on Mondays. Be warned, there are a fair number of bug pictures though :-)
