Probably the highlight of this summer was having my (Josh's) sister and her husband come and visit us! But, somehow, we forgot to post pictures from our time with them. We will now make up for this grievous error with three blog posts :-) (three posts that just happen to correspond to the three biggest tourist attractions we did while they were here).
Probably Rachel and my favorite tourist activity in our city is biking the old city wall. The wall (which is like 700 years old) runs for over 8 miles around the center of the city.
We started off by taking the one subway line to the center of town.
At the base of the wall, at the big entrances they have performances every day... they are a little cheesy, but fun all the same :-)
This picture is entirely dedicated to my Dad, who found this exact t-shirt in a thrift store in Denver, CO. :-)
You can rent single or tandem bikes on top of the wall for a little over an hour and a half.

The wall is over 40 feet tall and 50 feet wide -- quite impressive.
One of the best things about biking the wall is just getting to see a lot of the city from up high. And getting to avoid traffic like this!

A couple of our Chinese friends were excited to come with us.
It was cloudy that day, but the air was very clean, so it was really nice for seeing the city.
