Tea in the Village

We just finished a trip west to another big city. It was really fun to see new places and people and experience new culture!

Early in the trip we wanted to get out into the mountains, so we took a bus to one of the many villages south of town. We started by finding a little place where we could have tea.

Mmm... tasty tea and snacks!

If you are thinking from this picture that we got ice cream along with our tea you would be mistaken...
because it was a big bowl of butter. :-)
I think we did not eat our money's worth because, after all was said and done, we barely made a dent in the butter. We used it on bread, but perhaps it was also intended for the tea too (this is very common).

Different sugars...

The village had a touristy side and a larger side with more traditional housing.

Sheep!

Horseback riding is a major part of the local culture (as well as a major tourist attraction these days!), so it was fun to see a lot of horses.

We really enjoyed the area. The mountains remind us so much of Colorado and were so restful.
