One goal that I have had in the back of my mind is to photograph insects in flight... the problem is that macro photography of bugs in mid air is quite challenging. Usually, I get pictures where there is noting actually in the shot. Or, if the bug does get into the shot it looks something like this:
But, with some patience, this week I was able to successfully get a couple mid-air shots (this is only the second time I have ever been successful, making my rate of success about one insect/year).
Yay!
