So we apologize for the extreme amount of slacking we have done on the blog! Luckily, with today's post I think we avoid going a whole two months with no posts... whew!
During our winter break from classes we had the opportunity to travel down to Thailand to and briefly escape the grey city winter.
But even better than this (yes, better than elephants), was that Rachel's mom and sister came to visit us while we were in Thailand!!

The interesting part of this picture is actually the location... we nicknamed this wooden "playground" the "playground of doom" not only because of the nails sticking out in places and the wooden slide that would give you 100+ splinters if used, but also the fact that it looked at any minute it might collapse and roll into the river.

We also got to go on a short hike to a waterfall.
And even managed to get me into a picture!
Right next to the waterfall were a big group of tourists learning to give elephants a bath.
Rachel's mom was very sweet and insisted that we play the board game that I have been working on (normally we just play Scrabble).
