Because 6 weeks on the road is just not enough for Rachel and me, we decided to take another road trip to the northwestern US! Equipped now with a car that starts even when the weather is not perfect, we set off a couple weeks ago.
We try to learn from our mistakes, and so this time we decided that we should borrow a GPS from a friend (THANKS KELLY!). This ended up being a big help and much superior to printing or writing out all the directions each morning. Though the Cows are not sure about giving up their space on the dashboard...
And of course on any trip you have to bring the kids along and make sure they are safe.
Our first stop on the road trip was Gillette, WY, where we got to do something we had never done in our lives -- visit a coal mine!
It actually was pretty cool since everything used at mines apparently needs to be 300 times life size.
We were also impressed by how they took care to restore the land after mining.
But in the end the main question on our mind was how could we get some of these tires to fit on our Honda Civic?
Thanks to Timothy and Candice for the tour and the great visit!
