For this "not macro" post I wanted to share the first successful color astronomy shot I was able to get of one of the most famous nebulae in the sky: the Orion Nebula (which you can actually very dimly see without a telescope if you know where to look).
Also, I thought this shot was really cool. The bright circle is what is called a planetary nebula, which is the expelled gas from a dieing star. The dark clouds in the picture are actually gigantic clouds of gas and dust that are blocking all the light from the background stars.
