I thought I would share a few more astronomy pictures from the telescope in New Mexico
This first one is called the "Double Cluster" for obvious reasons :-)
One of my favorite pictures so far. The nebula to upper left is called the flame nebula (which was actually related to some research I did while I was still working for CU). Below and a little right of the flame you can see a dark spot in the middle of a larger cloud of glowing gas. That spot is called the horsehead nebula because of it's shape is actually a big cloud of dust and colder gas that is blocking the brighter nebula behind it.
Lastly is the Veil nebula which is the remnant of a big star that went supernova.
