At the end of March we had fun travelling through much of Texas (not all, as it is rather large). We spent the most time in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area where we got to see several friends.
We were shown around the area and taken to a "water garden"
The garden was a host of very large water fountains and features... of course all the time I (Josh) was wanting to estimate the amount of water being pumped continually.
We also went to the botanic gardens in the area.
There were many photo ops
And some more "scandalous" photo ops

After Dallas, we went down to Houston to see some more friends (but apparently we were bums and didn't take any pictures with them -- but here is a beetle outside their house!).
On our day off we visited a state park outside of Houston. We first had to prepare ourselves for the buggy onslaught.
Why you ask? Well because most of the state park looked like this!
Which we enjoyed as this is not typical Colorado scenery.
One of the fun (and slightly terrifying) parts of the park were that there were alligators everywhere!
Most of the time this was fine. It only became a problem when a few big ones decided that the best place for them to relax was directly on the path.
The good news is we survived, and only had one heart attack when Rachel scared a little one into the water (and jumped as if it were an actual attack).
I also had a lot of fun with photography.
There were lots of flowers.
And bugs!
And still more flowers.
Yay for Texas!
