On a day we needed some rest, we decided to head out to one of our favorite places... the Denver Botanic Gardens (Thanks Anna!). Though the majority of the gardens is in winter mode, there are some indoor spots that are fun to be in.
Josh enjoyed getting a chance to do some more photography.
They had a room filled with orchids and citrus trees that smelled wonderful.
While Josh ran around taking pictures, Rachel decided to relax and work on some embroidery.
As if blogging about the botanic gardens wasn't enough, we also went to the zoo (on a different day) with the kids of some good friends.
Josh wasn't he only one having fun with photography.
Photography didn't work out quite as well at the zoo because of things like smudged glass, but in the end that was probably good because we would not have gotten quite as close to some of the animals had there been no glass :-)
